Are the biblical accounts reliable? What do we know about the lost cities? Are the biblical events tinged with legend? Jacques Frei asked himself these questions in his youth. He not only studied numerous books on archaeology and history, but he also traveled to these sites to verify and learn about the how and why. During these journeys, he took many photographs, sometimes of almost inaccessible places, and he obtained permission to photograph in museums. A selection of these photographs is included in this book. Biblical stories are updated and illustrated. This work contains treasures for researchers, believers, and non-believers alike. Jacques Frei was born in France in 1930, but he is a Swiss citizen. After serving as a pastor for twenty-three years, he founded a travel agency specializing in biblical archaeology and the history of Christianity. He speaks four languages ​​and has lectured in Switzerland, Germany, France, and Poland. Following his research, he received an honorary degree in theology from the Faculty of Theology at Podkowa Lesna University in Poland. His first book, *A True Story, A Historical Truth*, has been translated into five languages. Other works on the history of baptism and the archaeology of baptisteries followed. Monique Kellenberger-Frei is Jacques Frei's daughter. She was born in 1958. She is married and a grandmother of five. She often accompanied her father on his travels and is an excellent photographer. She contributed to the creation of this book.
