Are the worlds of science and religion irreconcilable? Has modern science, with its theory of evolution, proven the biblical account of the origins of life false? Should believers then reject science?

Dr. Ariel A. Roth, a man of science and a Christian believer, argues that, taken together, science and religion offer us a more complete and sensible understanding of the world around us, our place in it, and the meaning and destiny of our existence.

Roth examines topics such as the evidence for evolution and creationism, the flood, the strengths and limitations of the scientific method, and the reliability of Scripture. He concludes that the biblical model of recent creation by God leaves fewer questions unanswered than the evolutionary model. He also considers intermediate positions, such as progressive creation and theistic evolution.
