About Safeliz
More than 100 years publishing health, education and values
Editorial Safeliz, S.L. is an internationally oriented publishing house that, since 1903, has worked in support of health, education and family guidance. Over more than one hundred years of history, Safeliz has carried out intense educational work with the aim of preventing, protecting and educating, combining scientific knowledge with a Christian view of the human being.
Today, Safeliz is headquartered in Colmenar Viejo (Madrid) and distributes its publications in more than 120 countries and in over 40 languages, establishing itself as a leading publisher in the fields of health, family and values.
THE INSTITUTION
Los orígenes de Safeliz
From its beginnings, Editorial Safeliz has worked actively in the dissemination of educational content aimed at improving the quality of life of individuals and families. In its early years, its books and magazines were distributed in streets and homes through agents who carried out their work under different institutional names.
From 1951 onward, Safeliz experienced its true takeoff; in its origins it was known as “Health and Happiness.” The publishing house was initially based in Barcelona, later moving to Madrid (San Francisco de Sales and Aravaca streets) and settling permanently, from the year 2000 onward, in the town of Colmenar Viejo, Madrid.

Foundation of Safeliz
Editorial Safeliz is founded with the mission of offering educational publications focused on health, education and the holistic development of the individual.
First decades

Publishing consolidation
Safeliz begins a period of strong growth, strengthening its identity and expanding its catalogue of publications.

International reach
Editorial Safeliz has never stopped working through specialized agents and international distribution networks. In Spain, it was a pioneer in home distribution of works that promote a healthy and natural lifestyle.
Most of its publications, originally in Spanish, have been translated into some of the most widely spoken languages in the world, such as English, French, German, Portuguese (including its Brazilian variant), Arabic and Italian, as well as others such as Romanian, Czech, Hungarian, Slovak and Norwegian, among many more.
This international reach has allowed Safeliz’s content to reach readers from very diverse cultures and contexts.
