We present to you the first interactive book produced by the Life and Health Publishing House! Each of the 44 chapters is followed by a QR code, to a website where you can see clips, photos or articles, in English or Romanian, about the character in that chapter. It is a book with 44 characters – 44 simple people, not superheroes – who did nothing but love those around them and make efforts to surpass themselves. They are short, earth-shattering and moving life stories, which will convince you that there are extraordinary people right next to us, that there is kindness and beauty in the world and that, through great or small efforts, yes, people can change their corner of the world. From characters from World War II in Poland, China or Japan to young Romanian women from Timișoara or Agigea; From garbage collectors to doctors and presidents of countries; from drug addicts and street people to blind and paralyzed people who climb mountains and run marathons, you will meet a variety of people and experiences. You will be convinced, we hope, that love for others, courage and efforts to overcome oneself are within the reach of people like you.
